Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!  I hope you are having a wonderful day with the ones you love!!

Truett and I have had a busy and fun-filled day.  Our day started off with a Valentine's Day party at school.  I think we ended up with as much candy today as we had on Halloween!!  Sheesh!!  We still haven't eaten all of our Halloween candy!!

After the school party, we came home and I gave Truett his Valentine's gift from me...which he LOVED and hasn't stopped playing with since he opened it!!  I let Truett pick out what we would have for dinner.  What did he choose?

Cheese nachos, tacos, and refried beans...haha!!  It's what he wanted, and since he's my valentine, it's what he got!!  Oh, and how funny is it that I ended up picking out the same plates for our meal that one of my students brought for the school party!

I will have to admit that I did allow myself a moment when I was by myself to kind of break down a little.  I guess the idea of today being about love and all, along with visiting Facebook and seeing all the flowers and such others were getting from husbands and boyfriends got to me a little.  This is not only my first Valentine's Day in 7 years "alone", but my divorce will be final in 2 days after eight long months of proceedings...  I didn't expect it to hit me like it did, but I guess we are all allowed to have those moments every now and then!  It's a good thing I got all that chocolate today from my students to help ease the pain...haha!!
