Today was the monthly Home Depot Kids Workshop. Tru has the best time attending these!! He is getting good at using the hammer and is excellent with the screwdriver!! The craft for today was making a Piggy Bank Storage Shed. This project was one of the most difficult we've had so far!! It ended up a little crooked, but it's all about the experience, not the finished product!!....that's my story and I'm stinkin' to it anyway!! haha!! Here's my little man hard at work:
Ready to be put together...
Tru hammering away....he ended up on the floor because the "tables" they set up aren't very stable, so it's hard for him to hammer on them.
Getting everything screwed together.
Ready to be painted!!
Hard at work painting away...
His certificate for completing his project!! You can tell he is so proud of himself!!
Tru's completed project!! Well, almost complete. It's still drying and then we will put the stickers on it. At that time, it will be officially complete...haha!
If you live close to a Home Depot and have little ones, I highly recommend you check out the Home Depot Kids Workshop!! It's a great FREE activity to do with your kids! You will have just as much fun as they do!! It takes place the first Saturday of every month between 9 am and 12 pm. The next workshop is on February 4th and they will be making a Valentine's Day Keepsake Box.
